Solo Roma

So here is my humble interpretation of the beauty of Rome. Not only the grand beauty of the monuments and the palaces. But also the normal everyday beauty that one encounters when wandering about the many backstreets in the center and not only. I like Rome both when it is empty in the morning, with only few passersby and the cleaning workers. But also when it is full with its tourists and inhabitants that sometimes make it so crowded to become unbearable.

I am now leaving in Rome and I know it can be quite difficult: what with the traffic, the garbage, the lack of services. But if we all - I mean those who leave here, those who visit from Italy and abroad, the administrators and the public workers - if all of us cared more I am sure Rome could become the most beautiful place in the world to live in and travel to. The lack of care from residents and tourists alike creates more garbage and traffic. The lack of care from the administration and the related companies creates disservice and complexity. We need projects to fix the problems and we need to take care of Rome everyday. Rome is ours. If we are reminded constantly of how much beauty there is around us, I am sure we will all feel more responsible and care more. And make Rome as beautiful as it can be.
